Saly (Mbour), Jan 26 (APS) - The French Institut national de recherche pour l'agriculture, l'alimentation et l'environnement (INRAE) and the Senegalese Institut de recherche agricole (ISRA) will co-chair the Transforming Food Systems and Agriculture through Research in Partnership with Africa (TSARA) initiative for one year, APS has learned.
On the occasion of its second General Assembly, Thursday January 25, 2024 in Saly, Senegal, the Tsara initiative (Transforming Food Systems and Agriculture through Research in Partnership with Africa) appointed Inrae and the South African Agricultural Research Council as co-chairs for the year 2024.
This program, which aims to transform food systems and agriculture through research in partnership with Africa, reaffirmed its research and innovation drive at its second General Assembly, held in Saly (Senegal) on January 25, 2024.

Launched in March 2022, the TSARA initiative - Transforming Food Systems and Agriculture through Research in Partnership with Africa - comprises 22 African and French members, from 14 different countries.
The adoption of a strategic research agenda towards transforming food systems and sustainability for Africa is currently ongoing in Senegal.
