TRANSFORMING FOOD SYSTEMS AND AGRICULTURE THROUGH RESEARCH IN PARTNERSHIP WITH AFRICA

TSARA

A partnership research initiative associating African and European institutions, which aims to support the transformation towards productive, resilient and sustainable food systems, contributing to food security and job creation, while preserving resources and global health.

Launched in 2022, the initiative now comprises a network of 38 members from 17 countries in Africa and Europe.

In January 2026,TSARA Science Daysbrought the TSARA community together for four webinars focused on agroecological transitions, sustainable food systems, and their interactions. The goal of these scientific days was to clarify the nature of research within TSARA, identify future directions, and strengthen dialogue between researchers and partners.

The proceedings, which are currently being finalized, will highlight the key moments of the event.
