TSARA 1st Science Days: Register !
January 13, 15, 20 & 22, 2026 – 4 webinars lasting 2.5 hours each.
The TSARA initiative is organizing its first Scientific Days with four webinars to be held online on January 13, 15, 20, and 22, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (UTC)*.
The TSARA initiative is developing through its collective scientific agenda, but also and above all through collaborative research in various thematic areas, which feed into our common goal of "transforming food systems and agriculture" through new knowledge, analytical frameworks, methods, and transformative innovations.
The purpose of these Scientific Days is to:
- clarify together what TSARA research means, based on presentations of actions and projects carried out, and in light of the broader context in which the initiative is taking place;
- identify opportunities in terms of research, actions, and projects to be carried out
- forsterdialogue among researchers, consolidate the TSARA scientific community, raise awareness of the initiative, and disseminate its initial results.
For these first Science Days, we will focus in particular on collaborative research that contributes to agroecological transitions and the sustainability of food systems, and that focuses on the interactions between agroecology and food systems.
Beyond the TSARA community, we invite all researchers and partners interested in the topics that will be discussed to participate in the webinars.
Participation is open and free upon online registration:
Register before January 9 2026
Once registered, you will receive the various login links corresponding to your registration (one link per session).
Program
January 13, 15, and 20: Sessions 1, 2, and 3 (Agroecological Transition, Sustainable Food Systems, Interactions between these two approaches) will each be structured as follows:
- Establishment by doctoral students from Cameroon, Ethiopia, Morocco, Senegal, and Tunisia of the "landscape" in which TSARA fits in relation to the session's topic, in an interactive manner with participants;
- Presentation of projects carried out within the framework of TSARA/or in connection with TSARA, in response to a call for papers; the proposals received are numerous and diverse in terms of themes, approaches, and scope; they will be presented in two parallel sub-sessions (to be chosen) and in a variety of formats;
- Summary and outlook by key witnesses.
January 22: Session 4 will be devoted to a summary of the previous three sessions, a participatory discussion of this summary, and through one or two round tables aimed at identifying guidelines and avenues for research, actions, and projects to be carried out.
