1st RGM EuroAfrica Congress

Utilization of microbial genetic resources

Date: May 18–20, 2026 – 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM

Location: National Center for Scientific and Technical Research (CNRST), Rabat, MOROCCO

The first edition of the Euro-African Congress on the Utilization of Microbial Genetic Resources (RGM EuroAfrica) aims to promote the recognition, the sustainable use and valorization of microbial genetic resources from diverse ecosystems, through an interdisciplinary approach that brings together science, innovation, regulation, and partnership, while fostering scientific cooperation and the emergence of a structured Euro-African network.

RGM EuroAfrica will bring together European and African scientific research communities, industry representatives, and public policy makers.

Thanks to its ecological diversity (terrestrial, marine, and semi-arid) and its strategic location at the crossroads of Europe and Africa, Morocco is an ideal location for research into and the promotion of microbial genetic resources.

The conference will take place at the CNRST in Rabat from May 18 to 20, 2026, and will consist of six sessions and a roundtable discussion. Registration will open very soon.
